Before I had my hysterectomy, I was asking that exact same question. Both of my sisters had already had their surgeries, and our mother had to have one, as well, when she was pretty young. I had mine in June of 2006, shortly before I turned 36 years old. They were able to do mine vaginally, and they were able to save my ovaries, so I was lucky. However, my mother and my sisters had to be cut open. I had already been through all of the pain from a C-Section, so I was pleased to find out that they were able to do mine vaginally. It takes less time to heal, but you absolutely need to wait until the doctor says that you are off of pelvic rest before you return to business as usual with your spouse. BUT, let me tell you; rest assured that your sex life will be every bit as enjoyable as it was before. Mine has been even better because I use to hurt all of the time until I had my surgery. I had already had my tubes tied, so it didn't make any difference for me as far as not having to worry about birth control; on the contrary, my oldest sister, who is now 40, has really enjoyed not having to worry about that part. I was concerned in the beginning that it might not feel as good to my husband, but he said that he can't tell any difference, and we still have mind blowing orgasms! You'll do just fine; just let yourself heal, first.

RE:
After total hysterectomy, does sex feel different without a cervix?
I just had a total hysterectomy, I am not healed yet. I am woundering if sex will be different without a cervix. What about orgazim? Does it change? Not that I can change anything about having the procedure, but I am some what curious as to what my husband and I will encounter once I have healed.

The averate penis os 6" long. The average vagina is 7" long. There's over 200,000 miles of unused pussy in the world. There's no way a guy would notice.

Hi. I have never had one, but my Mother-in-law had a full one done over 9 years ago, and she has never had any sexual problems what-so-ever.

yes it does, but it can still be pleasurable. You might want to check in to lubricants.
You know I feel almost embarrassed answering this.
