What type of movie files do the IPOD Video use?

I try to download movies on the internet and it tells me that it doesn't work on the IPOD Video. Why is that?

Well it took me a while to figure that out to but you have to get a video converter. I use a free on called Jodix Free Ipod Video Converter once you get that you will have no problem

The names of the files are MPEG4
