As of Thursday, I was dilated 2cm ( I am 39wks today)...And I've heard walking can help to induce labor...I was wondering how long you have to walk to possibly get some effects????

I tried having sex last night :/ to no avail...I'm having contractions, But they're so sporadic, I've quit timing them...And I've also had a VERY big increase in the amount of fluid escaping my 'area' down there,Lol...I know this sounds icky, And I'm sorry,But I can literally feel it coming out. :/...

I'm hoping, After my 18 month old wakes up, To go to the mall and walk for an hour or so to see if it helps any! :-)

i think that's different for everybody. just keep walking. but be sure not to overdo it, you really don't need a high blood pressure. i know right now it probably feels like the baby is never gonna come out, and you are very impatient. look at the bright side, you're already 2cm dilated. some women have to labor for that. stay comfortable and try to enjoy these last days (or hours...). when it finally happens it's gonna come as a surprise either way. i'm very excited for you and wish you an easy birth, well as easy as it can be. congratulations, and just try to relax!

It's sort of like that pronouncing, "the grass is greener over the opposite part". It's conventional human nature. We're certainly not convinced. We take matters without any consideration & disregard to depend our advantages. I imply I do have the ones ideas too of what it would be like, LoL=P Why else are there tabloid magazines, gossip enjoyment programmes? We reside in a voyeuristic obsessed society wherein we are curious to uncover out what it is love to be within the lifetime of our favourite famous person. Ultimately, I observe it is inconceivable & unrealistic to have such ideas 'motive it is simply needless.

I tried to walk to start labor, and all it did was hurt really bad, so I guess that it sorta worked. It only took a little under a quarter mile to start getting that feeling down there. I know that it was doing something cause it hurt like the dickens(and i have a incompetent cervix)

Take a walk around the block every once in a while...not too far, in case something happens! Drink orange juice too, that will help naturally induce labour, or speed it up a bit.

The baby is going to come on his or her schedule not yours. All pregnant moms feel this way, they want it OVER, your patience is spent. Just dont do anything foolish that will harm the baby. A gentle walk is ok, it will make you feel better mentally.

there is no set time of walking. my friend's sister just had a baby and she ended up walking off and on for about 10 hours and it didn't help very much. GOOD LUCK!

It only really helps when you are in labor. It doesn't start labor. Good luck it will happen soon enough.

Try 30 minutes, then rest, and walk alittle more.
