I've only gotten a shot in the butt once in 31 years--when I was 14, actually! I got it to stop a case of Poison Sumac... and it did hurt! Why did you get the shot? Maybe it was a medication that had to go into deep muscle.

Yep. I used to have to get a jab in my butt once every 3 months. I don't mind it as much as having the jabs in the top of my arms!
Its something to do with the jab going into fat or something. I think it's a slower release into the body if it goes into fat, and faster if it goes into muscle, but I could be wrong!

I used to get tonsillitis every year when I was growing up and they always gave me a shot of antibiotics in my butt.....and you're right it's hurts really bad and it's sore for days after.

Yeah it hurts for a bit but then it's ok. Just don't think about it and close your eyes and think happy thoughts.
