I am very new at ebay and I was wondering what happens after you win an auction for an item? When I use a money order to pay do I pay for the item and shipping and handling at once? Who do I sent it to? Are there any taxes in ebay? Please help me?

Yes, you pay for everything at once. There's usually no taxes, but it depends on the state you are in. If there is, the seller will add that in. Go to the page where you won the item, and click pay now. Then it will say method you wish to pay: highlight money order. It will take you to a page that says how much the total will be and where to send the M.O. You can request a total from the seller if you still aren't sure.

Ok after you win an item, go into your "My Ebay" beside the item you won there will be a small drop down menu. Choose the option that says "request total". The seller will send you an email with the total ( item cost, shipping, insurance if it was purchased ect ) and the new total will also shop up next to the item in your "my ebay".
No there are no "taxes"
Just request the total from the seller, and you will have all you need. Their address should be in the email.
If it is not, then you use the "contact seller" opttion in the same drop down menu next to the item you won, and let them know you will be paying via money order, and you need the address, if it is not displayed elsewhere.
Another way to find their address: In the same drop down menu coose the "view payment details" When that page comes up scroll down, and thier address should be displayed.
Also when paying with a money order to avoid all of these options besides "request total", Hit "pay now" Choose the method of payment (money order), and when the next page comes up, the address will be there.
When you have sent the money order, mark "payment sent", so the seller will know it is on it's way.
But when you are new the overall best way to get things done is to communicate with the seller using the "contact seller" option. That way if all else fails (you are having a hard time figuring out how to work things) you can get the info direclty from them, and they will be on the same page. Most sellers are very understanding! : )

You must contact the seller of the item you "won" and they will let you know how you can pay. That is really the best way. The transaction is between you and the seller. Nobody else.
The seller will have an e-mail address to contact them or a link on the selling page. They should also have near the bottom of the selling page the shipping costs and you pay those along with your cost for the item you won. If you are confused, just email the seller. They should be happy to help you out!

If possible use Pay Pal. There are many scams on Ebay as in any other place. Look closely at the length of time the seller has been a member and also look to see what his rating is. If it is low don't take a chance. You should expect 90+%. You pay only what you bid plus any shippng and handling.

If you just won a bid, it should give you all the directions and options for payment. Perosnallly I think your best bet is to sign up for a paypal account and paypal debit/visa card. Quickest and easiest way to pay, plus you are protected if the person never sends the product you can dispute and bam paypal puts the funds back to your account.

You should also be able to contact the seller to ask them how they prefer payment.

As for paying all at once, yes you send a check/payment for the entire amount asked, no taxes, what you won as bid, and the shipping charges it should total it for you on ebay and thats what you pay.

depending on your state, there may be tax, but more than likely not. When you win the auction it will tell you what the complete total is, you then contact the seller and ask for the address, get the money order for this amount and put that address on it.

you send payment in full to the person you won the auction from.

taxes are again based on the person you won from.

shipping and handling fee's, etc...again...from the person you won from.

And last.....if you won an item and plan on paying by money order....did you at least first LOOK to see if that seller would accept money orders?

Ebay has all the rules, methods, how it works, etc all on ebay.

Once you buy the item it will allow you to see thier address...send your money order there with the shipping and handling included in the total amount. No fees unless you sell something.

your seller will give you payment instructions.

read what he/she's askin' on their auction or wait for the email after you win the bid.

no taxes on ebay, but the seller may charge you depending if you're from the same state.
