Quebec Nordiques moved to Colorado
eddy>>>> the Arenas were there 1917-1918 then changed name to St-Pats till 1926 season the NHL didn't like the owners of the St-Pats and a new owner brought in a team called the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Montreal Maroons never left they just folded do to bankruptcy through the WWII times. and the Victoria Cougars are now the Detroit Red Wings and the Cougars didn't just leave the city the WHL at the time folded in the 1925-26 season and they also won the Stanley Cup the year before then a group from Motor City built a team mostly from players from the Cougars it was the League that folded not the team.

Quebec Nordiques (they became the Colorado Avalanche)
...also the Winnipeg Jets became the Pheonix Coyotes, and the only team to move from the US to Canada was the (then) Atlanta Flames who moved to Calgary.
