Ha ha, someone thought a chinchilla is a dog. Try getting your chinchilla fixed. I used to own one and he would mark his territory in the same way.

chinchilla's are verry strange. for one: when u get a chinchilla, it has to like u right away. if its trying to be with u and stuff, it'll always like u. if it is trying to resist u, it will always not like u. if it did like u in the first place and it started to act up, its probably hurt or something.

umm was this all in like 10 min...... is your cinchilla gone... if its gone.. i would put up signs or call the pound..... if he is just hiding in your house... lay out food to coax her out of hiding....
she obviously felt afraid.... if there was any trauma she could have received.... i would comkfort her, or take her to the vet
