I am 25 and I was just circumcised. I did it because i was stupid enough to let a doctor talk me into it. All those anti-circumcision people who claim it lowers sensitivity were right. Id say it lowers sensitivity by about half. circumcision makes sex suck for the guy. Now I was an adult who made a stupid decision, but why do mothers choose to make that stupid decision for their babies. Do women really want to ruin there baby boys sex lives???

I did not circumcise my baby because I consider it to be male genital mutilation. God put the foreskin there for a reason. I am so sorry to hear of your circumcision.

Wow...circumcised as an adult...why?
I have 2 boys, one circumcised, one not. I am TOTALLY against it & consider it a form of mutilation. Our child was circumcised at 5 years of age & had to be because the skin was way too tight & caused many problems. Believe me, if there was another way I would have chosen it. Sometimes, their is no choice :-)

Women don't have penis' so they don't know how much it dulls the senses. Women are told that it is easier for a male to keep it clean this way. I am very sorry that it hasn't been a good experience for you. Maybe you could get involved in some sort of awareness group now & share your personal experience to help stop mom's from making this decision without all the facts.
Good Luck!

I'm the mother of three boys, my oldest one is not circumcised but my other two boys are and so is their dad. When I had my first boy I didn't know what to do about it so I just left it alone,(he's from a previous relationship) I didn't think anything about it because on my family's side all the boys are uncircumcised, I didn't think it was a big deal. But when I had my middle and youngest boys, their dad wanted them circumcised just like him.I wasn't really thinking about their sex lives.....It all depends on what you believe or don't believe......

at least it was you who decided,,,i personally think that some traditions are so ingrained they are no longer questioned,,they are just carried on through families without anyone considering what they want to do or how it may not be what the child ,,as an adult,,would want.you cant change the fact you have it done but you can at least strike a voice for any person who says they are thinking about this for their child,,the voice of actual experience who sits on the other side of the fence.

I don't remember having it, or getting it removed. Sex feels great to me, and I've never had an infection down there. I wouldn't want an infection either. If I have a son, my wife are considering it for health reasons, not for appearance or sexual pleasure.

I do understand where you're coming from though. 25 years of having a turtleneck sweater, and then some dude in a white suit convinces you to remove it, and now you can't get it back.

Sounds like misery to me.

why would you think it would ruin a guys sex life??? I have been with both and they all had sex lives,,, maybe you just need to give it more time to adjust to it,,, you only knew what you were used to ,,, sound to me like your angry with yourself for doing it without giving it enough thought,,, and no I had my son circumcised because the Dr. said it would be easier to be clean,,, wait and see you will enjoy it when your girlfriend says how clean you smell

No that is not why I circumsised my son. First of all his Dad is circumsised so therefore usually you do what the father has. It is much cleaner and looks much better. If the baby is circumsised at that early age then he will never know how sex would feel if he wasn't. You on the other hand does and that is very unfortunate.

I wasn't aware that the procedure took away any of the sensations, sorry! They do look better when circumcised, so I hope that helps a little!!
