Ok this is for a school paper, I'm trying to find some info on what those people would need in a hotel room, or if they need a place to pray and how many times a day do they pray, the values I should respect, things i should NOT do, etc.

Congrats on being a Host.
Be frank about your newness to thier culture so that they would not be hurt on any of your uninterntional behaviour. Also the little things that you learn would make them feel better ...by knowing that you care.

Concept: "Athithi Devo Bhava" meaning Guest is Divine.

Food Habits: Many are Vegeterians (people who don't take meat, egg, etc)

Need: Nothing much different.

Welcome: Give them an indian National flag along with your country's national flag tagged witha Rose to welcome.

Welcome Address : Namashkar (by bringing both palms together near your chest)

Indians may not be much used to the Hug & Kiss culture.

Prayers are usually offerred in the mornings after bath.

That all I have in mind. Nice that U care for people's culture and feelings.

Only Muslims need prayer mat for praying, not Hindus, they are much more liberal and accommodating when it comes to praying, most wont pray in hotel rooms, only in their hearts..
