Ok, well the people are treating you like a baby. You can wear as much make-up as you want, chick. I'm 13 and I've been wearing make-up since I was 10 (5th grade). I love that you've picked brown mascara. I use black but I use brown liner. Black is a really harsh look. If you have good skin don't ruin it with cream or liquid foundations. Try Cover Girl tranlucent powder. Find a nice (but not too dramatic) powder eyeshadow. I recommend "Jane" any color. It's great brand. Then go for Cover Girl dark brown eyeliner. Try a sheer aporicot blush and apply VERY lightly, from the top of your cheekbone til two fingers away from your nose. It should look very nice. You'll be a beauty queen. Good luck!

Ok, I know I'm going to sound like an old mom now. (That's because I AM an old mom!)

I have two twelve-year-old daughters and I've seen how bad some of their friends look when they put on makeup the wrong way. It makes them look like they're little kids playing dress-up... which I think is probably NOT the look you're going for!

At your age, you should go for a subtle and natural look. A little lip gloss, maybe some light colored blush on your cheeks and maybe a little eyeshadow. Depending on your skin tone, go with a pink, peach or light brown shade of shadow. There is no need for eye liner yet.

If you have blemishes or areas of your skin that need to be evened out, it's ok to use a litle liquid foundation, but go light on your application. Many girls make the mistake of putting on too much and their makeup ends up looking completely unnatural.

Also, remember that it's ok to wear NO makeup. Just because your friends are wearing it, doesn't mean that you need to.

I started wearing makeup when I was 12.
light coat of mascara (one brush on upper lashes)
maybe a dusting of all-over eye shadow in a light color such as pink or peach
a light dusting of blush (use a fat blush brush, it distributes the color more evenly, and use the lightest color to avoid overdoing it)
a lip gloss with a sheer hint of color

As you get older you can start using eyeliners and other bolder shades, but they look tacky and "overdone" on 12 year olds. Wait until high school to wear the other stuff!

Hint: it takes a lot of practice to master makeup application. When in doubt, blot some out! Also, always get a second opinion before you go out in your makeup to make sure it isn't too heavy

good luck and have fun!

I know you're not going to like to hear this again, but really you probably should avoid makeup at your age.
We do not mean to sound like foagies, but youth is beautiful in itself.
Anything like foundations will just help to contribute to acne that you will be likely to endure.
Just make sure that you keep your face clean but do not scrub too hard or use harsh cleansers. A good moisturizer with SPF will help protect your skin form the sun.
Personally, I did not wear any makeup until I was 18 and then it was only mascara until I was 30. I was blessed with a youthful appearance and used it to my full advantage.
I think chapstick with SPF will do great on your lips and protect them as well, but if you insist on makeup at all, just go with some lip gloss and that should be plenty!
You're beautiful just as you are, so celebrate just beign naturally you!

I would have to say the best make up to wear at 12 is maybe some eyeshadow and some lip gloss and maybe some mascara. I remember wearing Loreal when I was your age. They have all different colours and everything. I think you would look fab.

In my opinion, you should start off with lip gloss and mascara. During the year, if you want should try adding a little bit of eyeshadow. The best mascara in my opinion is Great Lash mascara

Well, I didn't wear make up until I was about 15, but if you really want to wear makeup the best thing to do is a natural look:
Try concealer on any pimples, and light mascara, maybe even dust a light color (close to your natural skin tone) across your eye lid.
Best Wishes
Remember that you are beautiful naturally, and you shouldn't need make up to make you feel pretty. But I understand the interest.

quite i imagine the suitable component, what's going to reason the very suitable result at that age will be to have some instructions from some genuine professional's. they don't seem to be puzzling to locate, any important branch save could have women operating there, some with more effective preparation than others and that would want to fee everywhere from loose to about 25 money as adverse to a spa. in the adventure that they are good at what they do they could teach techniques to fantastically mixture impartial shadows or perhaps mushy liners so as that they present the most flattering seem for this age, blush and contour besides what they want for his or her pores and skin. often times they commence desirous to structure brows besides and then the way in which to fill with a mild shadow. a colour gloss is in a lot of situations all it really is critical in spite of the indisputable fact that it really is my opinion :)

Why would you want to wear make up? I start wearing make-up in 8th grade and I hardly ever wear it these days . I like to go with the natural look.
If you really want to wear makeup keep it simple. I've been trying out some real light stuff. Some people think that makeup is used to cover up things on your face like a mask , but it's to enhance certain areas like your eyes and especailly your cheek bones. Try the Dream Matte Mousse, it's by Maybline . It's real light. weight.
