You should first reset ipod. Do this by holding the the menu button and the middle button for a few seconds.Be sure to make sure that the hold button isnt on. THat should do it otherwise go to apple.com to see how to fix it

Ok it's real simple all you
have to do it push the center
button and the play button at the same
time for about 10 seconds then it should work
by doing this it will reboost your
ipod but not delete your songs.

Sometimes techanical things freeze up because you have either dropped it or just for some strange reason. To fix this i'd restart the ipod and it should work again. If it doesn't you might want to change your battery.

Put it under your armpit to defrost it. That is why it comes with a long lanyard.
