hp brio upgrade winwp?

hp brio pentium 3 600mz. have win 98 se want to upgrade to winxp. have tried upgrade recommened options but stalls when i get to set up windows file.
also reformatted and boot from winxp disk but still hangs at setting up windows files..
can anyonehelp plz ?

you may find that its not man enough to handle XP, try to install 2000 instead

also you may be suffereing from a lack of memory

try uninstalling windows then reinstalling windows
