Well timed and well planned I think. Strange how they gave out the sentence BEFORE the Appeal has been done!

It's a political game,the trial was a farce,and the sentence of hanging should apply to more deserving leaders like Bush and Blair.

The cynic in me agrees entirely with you. But let's face it, Bush is going to lose both houses on Tuesday, and he knows it. Even hanging Sadaam won't save him. The article due tomorrow in a very influential military journal demanding Rumsfeld be sacked won't help either.
