there are many good reason to banned fireworks
Extreme drought and wildfire risks across the West are taking the kaboom out of some backyard Fourth of July celebrations, with communities restricting or banning the sale and use of fireworks.

But officials say Independence Day need not be boomless. Instead, they are encouraging people to watch large municipal fireworks displays.

Santa Fe, banned the use of fireworks and asked stores to voluntarily stop selling them. All complied. The city fireworks show is still scheduled.

"We feel that it's important to curtail people from doing their own shows," said Santa Fe Fire Marshal Ted Bolleter.

Fire risk prompted Albuquerque, to ban fireworks from wildland areas in the city. Cedar City, Utah, residents are only allowed to ignite fireworks in the parking lots of a park and two high schools.

Meanwhile, the anticipated influx of people into campgrounds and national forests on the holiday weekend is stirring anxiety among land managers.

No,we all like garden displays. Its all these idiots who are setting them off and being dangerous that spoils our fun.2 weeks ago someone aimed a firework at my 12 year old daughter,it just missed her feet. She emerged from a cloud of smoke.Selling the fireworks to kids should be stopped completely, they use and abuse. They won't be happy until they blow someones foot or hand off. Then there are the people who tie fireworks to animals, sick in the head.

I totally agree with the idea of organised licenced displays, for the past month it has been like the bloody blitz all over again on some nights in this area.

it makes sense because less people would get hurt. Maybe if local experts offered advice or if local displays were free more people would go to them.

the problm is that younger children buy them from money grapping shop keepers. I saw a big group of nine year old chucking fireworks at each other and at passing cars.

the truth is if the wrong people what to get hold of illegal fireworks they will.

definitely!!! they're so dangerous and they terrify pets, not to mention that they start at halloween here (Brighton) then go on until new years day-almost every single day and night (yes, even during the day-can't help but wonder why...)
but the local councils should also organise better displays so that people actually want to watch those instead, and they shouldn't charge an arm and a leg for them-some of us are students!!!

Its the comparable old each and every 12 months, they only won't be able to attend. Any party by any means! I genuinely have a coronary heart concern and that i do no longer choose fireworks landing in my backyard each and all the time. Why human beings won't be able to only bypass to an organised reveal beats me. i comprehend its them because of the fact they also have a 'explosives on board' sign up the lower back of thier van. I genuinely have a suspicion that the kinfolk could be in contact interior the firework making business enterprise as each and every 12 months they provide the impact of being to insist on greater suitable and louder bangs. Who started out this 'custom' of fireworks in gardens on new 12 months's eve aswell? i'm attempting to sleep! I wish that they did no longer have factors in supermarkets at the instant advertising them. they could be a luxurious, as quickly as a 12 months component, and in case you won't be able to bypass to one on that nighttime, then difficult, wait til next 12 months! of course we will probably in no way eliminate it thoroughly, i'm particular the government won't carry a finger to alter something, because of the fact it may be seen as ruining the plebs leisure. They probably get too a lot earnings from it to restrict it altogether, yet once you think of approximately it, it additionally ties up the emergency amenities and hospitals perchance we could consistently all sign a cyber web petition, i could sign particularly effective speaking to somebody sane!
