A lot of people will rejoice. Even when twin towers came down , it made a lot of people happy. Nobody thought such a thing was possible , huh? Before that if anyone suggested such a thing it would have been a longer shot. It just proved americans vulnerable.
Even if the americans themselves tried him nothing will happen. In foreign policy there is not much difference between dems and GOP. All people started thinking about Iraq when the going got tough. Otherwise no one in america would have given a damn about Iraq.
to tommyG: If that survey can be believed , would you believe that 655,000 Iraqis got killed under US occupation??
to stupdazz: Did you know that the Iraq under Saddam was a moderate muslim country in the middle east? A country which was not run according to the strict islamic rules??? The women there now will have to be careful about the militias which in some cases are just like taliban. And who will protect anyone? maliki may be king but he cannot venture away from the green zone much. Marines are busy looking after their own backs. Insurgents?? You mean freedom fighters who are trying to get the occupier get kicked out . al qaida may be there NOW , after the occupation. Recruiting & training ground for terrorism . when 655,000 civilians are killed under occupation , some of the relatives will definitely join up the terror groups to take revenge. don't you think so??

No, killing INNOCENT people is wrong. The Marines are stopping insurgents from killing INNOCENT people. (And most of them are the same race and religion!) In a civilized society, we have police that stop this-but insurgents are killing them too. Hyenas kill their own too, like insurgents. Noone likes when ANYONE is hanged, but Saddams history is INSULTINGLY sick towards human-kind. Were you in-bred, like Hyenas are? If so, I forgive your ignorance on the topic. But even so, if you are gonna bite, you're gonna get taken to the pound and shot-or hanged. You've got a really skewed view on civilized behavior, and I find your views of this mentioned behavior, shocking, bewildering and primitive. Think about what I posted for awhile, and if you still don't abide by what my demands are, civilized behavior, I'll have you stoned in the street tomorrow, by the women you treat like dirt..

i'd just like the same laws that are applied to the corrupt leaders of other countries applied fairly to ALL countries. just because the USA is wealthy beyond compare and has a HUGE military shouldn't mean that our presidents should be allowed to get away with reprehensible war crimes. GW Bush and his cabal of war profiteers should be fully investigated and held accountable if those investigations turn up crimes against humanity.
if Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al were investigated, tried and found guilty ... hang em high. America is not exempt from International Law no matter what Bush thinks.

omg - careful now --- someone may try to get this one removed! You must be new or about 12, but I have to laugh at the honesty of this one, But see for now at least Bush can't be convicted of war crimes. But even is he isn't, there's something called 'karma' and there's the old saying that 'what goes around comes around' and that's the way it goes. They're sort of like invisible punishments that creep up on us when we least expect them to. So let's not worry about Mr; Bush; instead let's just move on and pray that we aren't blown off the face of the earth because of the actions of those who simply do not know any better.

You need to learn more about Saddam's history, so that you will understand what this trial (and upcoming trials) involves.
You also need to think about what you are calling war crimes, and consider whether those "crimes" are acts that were ordered by the President.
(Finally, you should learn how to spell President.)

It would seem reasonable to attempt to make a war crimes case against this president and his cabinet of theives, yes. While I might feel that was just, I'm not sure how I would feel about seeing him hanged.
