I think its because we have the illusion of a choice. Democrats and republicans are, for the most part, the same party. There is very little difference between the two. That and the fact that no matter who is elected corporate america actually controls Washington. CEO's and lobbyists now control the nation not the people. Until we have some sort of control or ban on the lobbyist in washington, the people's votes won't really matter.

It's not the American political system that's the joke, it's the American PEOPLE. The fact that we are tolerating a scumbag government is the JOKE, and it proves that we're the proverbial dull knife in the drawer. We are the laughing stock of the world because of our cowardly behavior in allowing Bush to trample not only on our rights, but the rest of the worlds right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. WE ARE THE JOKE.

I agree. the present state of politics is crammed with numerous non-public assaults. i think we see numerous it on solutions, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does bleed into genuine life plenty with political campaigns. i think of people on the internet are extra services to it because of the fact it relatively is much less complicated to cover and attack in the back of a keyboard than doing it to somebody's face. additionally, most of the persons who participate are extra severe and extra enthusiastic approximately their standpoint. people who're extra average won't care sufficient to post their perspectives on some random internet internet site. i think of there's a % for some opposing perspectives so as that one area would not get out of hand. the two social gathering equipment isn't great, in spite of the undeniable fact that it vaguely facilitates interior the exams and balances. With only one area, the two liberal or conservative, issues might get out of hand. The 0.33 events do no longer likely get votes until watershed activities with substantial political transformations, yet they do help deliver expertise to specific subject concerns that the prevalent 2 events ought to respond to. i do no longer know. you need to argue that it relatively is "much less complicated" to basically attack particularly than make sturdy arguments, yet a great sort of the nice and snug-button subject concerns have not got an instantaneous answer and that they are extra own standpoint. and that's the place the biggest flame wars start up, the two in faith and in politics. perchance this is why I turn faraway from the section. it relatively is too depressing.

France and Germany, for example, have been through so many governments in the past two centuries it's not worth the time to count them all.

Because they don't understand freedom. They long for it, but are afraid of it. They need a "strong man" to take care of them. Unfortunately, I believe many Americans are beginning to lean toward that way of thinking too.
