I love movies that are from before the 2000's mostly. Like I love Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas. But I wouldn't mind watching movies in the 2000's either. If you include a movie, could you please include the rating? Cause I need it to be under R. I like comedys the most.

Seeing as you said that you like both Edward Scissorhands and TNBC, I'm guessing that you enjoy Tim Burton's work. You mentioned liking comedies and movies released pre-2000, so I think there's a good chance you'd enjoy Mars Attacks!, which was released in 1996 and directed by Tim (it's rated at PG-13, too).

I'd also recommend Corpse Bride (although it was released only last year) as it was made using stop-motion animation as TNBC was, and was co-directed by Tim Burton. And of course it also features the voice of Edward Scissorhands star Johnny Depp.

Hope this helps. :)

Atom Egoyan is one of my favourite directors from that time (well, even now). Felicia's Journey, Exotica and The Sweet Hereafter are among some of the absolute best storytelling ever put on screen.
