i440bx board, its a 350mhz p2, and can i do this without taking apart the WHOLE computer?

Most of the time you can overlock through the BIOS. You can also try to use some software called Clockgen .

You cannot. Well you could try but you wont get very good results and would probally burn up your pentium. Only recently have companies designed their processors to be overclocked (with things like shutting them off when they get to hot). Yours is too old sorry man.

Pop the top. Look for a faster PII on eBay. I think they went as high as 500 mhz. Don't look for extreme differences as you are still stuck with the older slow memory (that you cannot change) as well as other slow peripherals. You can boost your performance by increasing memory but, once you get up to 512, don't look for much more.

just buy a new pc and you wont have to overclock it
