Bailiffs do not generally have the right to force entry into your home. However, they can gain 'peaceful entry' if you let them in, or they enter through a closed but unlocked door or open window. So make sure all windows and doors are locked especially if you go out.
The law on bailiffs is very complicated and the rules depend on the type of debt you owe and who it is owed to.

No they can't. The only loop hole is, if you leave the door open or a window. They must not damage anything. However if you fail to make an agreement with the bailiff or pay off your debts then you are just getting yourself further into trouble as you can be taken to court.

Yes if someone else is there but no if house is empty and no one answers the door as that is breaking and entering and breaking the law.
By the proper law you have to let them in however most bailiffs are scum so they force their way in but law is they have to be let in the property.

My guess is it depends on where you are. By my guess, I"d say the asker is from the UK or something, so there are probably different laws.
A police officer, in the US can only enter a house with probable cause, a warrant, or through invitation.

First, you not in any respect communicate over with THE POLICE. not in any respect. that is going to not in any respect help you. 2d, you not in any respect enable the police at your residence. in the adventure that they want contained in the abode they could both get a warrant or they could have exigent situations. that they had neither subsequently although. in the adventure that they idea your daughter became contained in the abode and in some type of problem they might have requested to confirm her. particularly they in basic terms needed to charm to close the position she became. notwithstanding if the door opens on that is own. they could't are available in. you do not ought to lock your door to save the police out. notwithstanding if that is huge open they could't go that threshold without consent or warrant. sounds like your daughter is in only a touch problem although. good luck with that.

by a bailiff if u mean a cop, then the answer is yes. but they can only enter if they have a warrant or "probably cause". for a warrant it usually means they have come to search the house or have come to arrest u. they have to go to a judge and get the warrant. for probable cause they will have been passing by and seen something suspicous enough for them to enter. but if they enter without a warrant or without claiming probabe cause then they have no right to enter.

I think you'll find that it's "without me being THERE"
The bailiffs need an invitation.

I can't believe they can come into your home and take your personal possessions here in the UK it's freaking mid evil. In the USA you can claim bankruptcy and yes they can repossess your car and your house if it comes to that but they can't come in and take your toaster oven and your t.v. You would get a letter in the mail asking if you could please return the merchandise to us and you don't have to.
