Can you recognise the characteristics of your rising sign in yourself? Mine is the same as my sun sign, so it's hard for me to tell.

I recognise my scorpio rising characteristics alot, some of them make me very uncomfortable, but I'm learning to deal with it.I noticed I tend to have an love/hate relationship with heavy scorpio types, which could be due to my moon and saturn in leo being square to scorpio by sign if not exactly by degree.I'm a virgo sun and have an libra stellum so that can both help balance me out and make me feel uncomfortable with my intense feelings and reactions. As I tend to react first and follow my feelings then go back and think about it.Frustrating in relationships.Good question,by the way.

Eh. I have some Sagittarian rising characteristics. I'm very blunt, a little more honest than I should be. I also really enjoy traveling and education, like most Sags are supposed to. But then there's a large part of me that feels more connected to my sun sign or my moon sign than my rising. I'm probably just odd. :) Or, since my sun sign (Cancer) rules the moon, that could cause that connection too.

I think your ascendant is supposed to be how people perceive you and your sun sign is how you are.

So , if I am correct, that means that people see you for exactly who you are!!!

Yes.

I am a Taurus, but have Pisces rising. Makes a lot of sense.

Sun in Libra, Moon in Libra...girl you are one "libra"ted woman!! I always read my sun horoscope for my brain, and the moon one for my feelings...so maybe you could try it from that perspective.

Would you please provide more details for the uninformed?
