they don't even bring eqiupment or books or put anything in it. whats the piont in that?

How do you know that the yobs don't put anything in the bags?
Most of the oiky (yobby) kids in my hometown carry JD plastic bags to school, or those teeny weeny brightly coloured Nike rucksacks that - I don't think - can be used for school, but they get stuff in somehow!!
dustbucket40, a yob is an aggressive, mentally below average youth (usually male) who likes causing trouble. They all hang around smoking and drinking in the streets and - in the UK - are known as chavs, scallies, rudies, townies, pikeys or trashies.

Probably fashion, but when I was in school the yob types or whatever didnt have bags they would just carry and munched up pen in their pockets....
There is no real point to it, its just a trend

my kids wear such bags to school but they are not yobs and they wear them on there backs because they are so dam heavy with every thing they have to carry that if they carried it in there shoulder it would cause muscle strain!they have about 5 school books PE kit pencil cases footy boots homework tuition books! all to carry to school and that's just for one day! not all kids are yobs

Lots of young people use the draw string JD bags as school bags - my niece for one! She is 14 and the top of her class - she is no yob, so try not to stereotype people!

even as i became in college, We had to carry a stone and chisel, that component were given heavy on the way abode, We had to stroll 12 miles to college by 3 ft of snow even contained in the summer season time and it became up-hill both techniques. Brats on the instantaneous ....in case you had to stay by the Ice Age....
