spybot will help as far as spyware and adware. Performance enhancers are always scams though. Don't fall for that stuff. If you want to enhance the performance of your internet connection, you need to call your isp and ask them to raise your bandwidth.

Some good answers, CCleaner is great for cleaning, easy to use. Advanced Windows Care is a good performance enhancer.

CCleaner for Windows Washing. I agree with above post most likely performance enhancers are scams.
Windows has to compete with other operating systems. Do you think they will purposely make it slow?
