The bottom line is whenever someone 'invests' alot of emotional value into something, whether it be a sporting event, birth of a child, or a soap or love story, it is the same for both sexes.. Crying or weeping is merely a sudden emotional release.. Some men cry more after a big victory than a hard fought loss.. In the same manner some men (it happens) cry when they allow themselves to get an emotional tie to a movie character that dies.. Men who never cry about anything general never reveal their feelings.. Most men will hide their crying a it is considered too 'girlie' or wimpish..
If you ever have seen Saving Private Ryan.. Tom Hank's character finds a private spot to have a 'good cry' over the loss of a soldier in his unit.. it was his sudden release of pent up emotion..
Personally, everyone should cry every once in a while.. what we cry over depends on what we have the most vested interest in or attachment to..
To devalue what anyone choses to make an emotional investment into is to devalue that person.. I would never, ever make fun of a man or woman who cries during a movie or a sporting event..

I cry too! and that i'm no longer a CR9 fan! =P yet I merely cry if we lose huge time. you recognize, like a substantial opposition. Like whilst Germany misplaced to Brazil interior the 2002 international Cup very final, or that 2006 international Cup Semi-very final as against Italy. The win over Portugal made-up for it, nevertheless. =] Or like the 2008 Champs League very final, and the Semi-very final final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days as against Barcelona, the 2nd leg. =(

ok well i dont cry over soaps! but men, well ya see men are such basic creatures with limited intellectual capacities. Men hate to loose, and when they do (or there team does) they use there most basic instinct and cry like babies.
It dates back to when they were born, they cry, mommy comes running and makes it all better. Just look at them when they cry you can see there eyes scanning for mommy! muhahahhaah
I'd like to point out that i'm not a man hater, i just find them incredibly amusing. Keep crying guys ;-)

That is your answer, because they are so passionette about winning
Even at the smallest levels, last year at Grays Athletic, we lost in the play-off semi-finals and some of our players cryed, especiallly Michael Kightly, who watch out for, because he is a real talent, we have got rid off one huge talent of ours in Aaron Mclean to Peterborough

Yes, it is for real. Some people get caught up in the drama of sports in much the same way you get caught up in the drama of "soapies." Try not to be so judgmental.

Why can't men cry? Men are humans too!
They are emotional and really love the sport. They really want to win and can't bear to see their team lose.
