In 2004 he started half the games (had a career high 16 pts in one game wow), in 2005 he barely played at all and was stuck sitting on the bench and averaged practically 35 seconds per game, and now in 2006 he will probably not play in more than 15 games? Explanation please?

Because they gave him a stupid contract, and no other team wants him so they can't get rid of him via a trade. They're only option is to keep him or waive him (which means they'd still have to pay him...which they don't want to do)...

I really can't give you a good answer for that, because I've been wondering the same thing for two years. Even stranger than keeping him on the team was the fact that our first pick this year Shannon Brown was inactive for the home opener while Newble was on the team. How does that make sense?
