I have a couple and am willing to pay a decent amount to get them fixed.

How is it unresponsive? Does it not turn on at all? does it just show an apple, and not do anything? I would first recommend that you try resetting it, by holding select+menu for ~6 seconds. If that works, then put it into disk mode (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651) and use the ipod utility to reformat your ipod.

do you see any error message? like a hard drive with an exclamation mark?
