who do you like more and why?

I like both but I believe Garth Brooks to be the better singer/songwriter. He has a greater vocal range, a more varied musical style, and overall has won more awards than Mellencamp.

I hate country music.......but I would still say Garth (and I like 80's rock). I cant stand Mellencamp, just his voice is annoying and to me all his songs have the same tempo. Brooks has had so many hits and songs that EVERYONE knows regardless of what music they listen to....

john mellencamp is good singer so isnt garth brooks its hard to choose. maybe i could pic john i greww up with his music then garth

Garth Brooks because I am more of a country person. Also, I can sing to his songs so easily, which is the most important thing to me about listening to music- "How easy is it to sing to?"

Wow, that's a really hard question. I LOVE both of them!!! I have to give this one to John, though. I like his music more, but Garth is so awesome too!!!
