this journal entry is for people who avoid writing, as with any anxiety, you can approach writing anxiety by accepting it fully.realize that it's OK to feel anxious about writing. others have shared this feeling, and many people have worked with it successfully.let the thoughts and images come to the urface without resestance.

Yes, thinking is quite painful thats why so few attempt it.

With communication, written or verbal, I think we all may find tension or discomfort, depending on the subject. But in the same instance, that tension and discomfort could be relief in disguise. Anxiety is kin to worrying. Allowing thought to become action only becomes a problem when said thought is negative. Have a great day.

I used to write a copuple years ago. Howver, I ceased to do it. Now that you have asked that question, I remember I loathed to think about my life when I stopped writing. Anyway, for me starting to write often involved some sort of anxiety. Surprisingly, that feling always passsed when I had completed two or three paragraphs. I wouldn't call it "katharsis", that term is too strong, rather some sort of private confession that brings comfort.

Images of the real me come into my thoughts and this used to scare me but once I started to deal with my issues I became no longer afraid to see whats really there inside of me... It helps me now more then anything, to help me see what I need to do next if i'm faced with another problem at hand...

No. I enjoy writing, they are no images just words in my mind when I write.
