4. PHD

A bachelor degree is the degree you recieve upon completing a 4-year college. A "BA" stands for Bachelor of Arts degree and a "BS" stands for a Bachelor of Science degree. All college majors are divided into these two groups. For example, if you major in Biology in college, you will recieve a BS upon graduating. If you major is history, then you will receive a BA. After getting your bachelor's degree, you can further your education by going to Graduate school. After completing graduate school, you will then have your masters degree in your chosen field. More school after this, results in you PHD degree which gives you the title "Doctor"

B.S. means Bachelor of Science.

I have an Associates and then a B.A. = Bachelor of Arts and now I am working on an MPA = Master's of Public Administrtation.

You have to have an undergrad degree - Obtain a B.A. or B.S. to pursue a graduate degree which could be J.D. = Lawyer or another graudate degree such as Master of Business Administration. Once you obtain a Master's you can pursue a Ph.D.
