What is that thing to consider that you two are now best friend?

I don't have any best friend but I do have close friends. I already experienced to have a bestfriend when I'm an elementary pupil but soon I found out that we can't agree on anything and this disagreement will soon go to serious conflicts and now I am a high school student, I decided not to have a best friend.

And this is the question that I really don't know how to answer,
What is that thing to consider that you two are now best friend?

Your best friends should bring out the best in you, meaning, that when you are around them they are supportive and want what's best for you.- to be a good friend you need to be the same to a friend. Not jealous when good things happen to a friend , but happy for them.
Most conflicts happen when a friend becomes competitve with a friiend. In my opinion- It's better to have lots of friends , not just one best friend.

For most people in their lifetime they only find 1 or 2 true friends that will stick with them through anything. With that in mind, don't worry about having a best friend. Just because they are your "best" friend does not mean they are your true friend. You should look for true friends. If you can't find any just be content with what you have. I'm sure things will work out better for you, but be careful who you give your complete trust to because it could backfire on you.

i have four close friends.we used to spend most of our time together(at school).but since two years ago one of us spent less and less time with us and she was the one i can call my best friend.i don't see her much these days but you know still sometimes that i feel sad or i want to talk with someone i call her.she is kind of different for me.i don't know what's that.but although most of my time is spent with others and i like them so much,she is something that the others aren't(and can't be)
