i was wondering if anybody knew if a new Acura RS v-tec engine would fit in an s2000. Would the transmission and rear differential take it?

An s2000 has an inline 4 so i am pretty sure that i can sit the v6 back behind the front axle like the i-4 is right now, that way the handling wont suffer as much as it would in another car. Also, the new RS acura enging has much more low end torwue and a little more power than I could obtain simply by putting a turbo on. i have done my research in this area.

anything will fit in just about any car. My neighbor has a 1998 Acura Integra with a viper V10 in it. So its not about if it will fit or not. The real question-is it practical? For the money it will cost you to modify the front end to take the larger v6 you can add a turbo & intercooler & make more power than the v6. Thats the route I would take since the larger v6 is also heavier & will make the car handle badly.

It is certainly possible to interchange front and rear wheel drive motors, but I believe the cost for doing so may be more than either vehicle costs.
