I did Highland Dancing for ten years... past all my exams and everything, but haven't gone into teaching! Now with the stress of uni, and moving cities, I haven't danced in 2yrs... :(
Think I'll ring up the teachers in the area and see if I can go along to lessons again to get fit again cause I miss it SO much... even though I won't be able to go to competitions (don't have a uniform!)...
I was considering taking up ballroom or salsa or something instead, but (a) I don't have a partner to take along and am not sure how good I'd be with couple dancing anyway, it'd be very different, and (b) as an adult, classes are freaking expensive!!! And they don't seem to have many good long-term ones around anyway.

I danced tap, ballet pointe, jazz, hip-hop, and swing. Ballroom dancing is beautiful but looks extremely complicated to me. I guess because I would hate having to dance that close and in sync with someone else.

Yes, and I only dance the B Buff, also referred to as the B2C, of which is an erotic form of dance to Bongo Drums that was introduced to me by my first Bublian Luver... and as for your interest in ball room dancing, I suggest you take a look at a few instructive dance videos/DVDs at your local video rental store, or purchase one from any of several music stores providing you're unsuccessful with your quest for lessons.

ice skating has alot of flowing motions and you must take ballet so there are some ice areana where they would allow you to teach their for the ice skaters or build a dance studio by there because you'll have alot of buisness
