In Iraq they do. That was not a U.S. trial.

"They" who? Many countries still use hanging as a means of capitol punishment. Rope is cheap. Electric chairs are almost completely out of style because electricity is expensive and (according to bleeding-heart liberals) cruel & unusual punishment.

In the USA, the standard form of execution is now Lethal Injection, mainly because those same bleeding-heart liberals care more for the rights of murderers than their victims, and won't accept anything but the most comfortable, peaceful, and pain-free executions for monsters who have been convicted of even the most horrific of crimes.

The method of capitol punishment varies by state/country.

Apparently in Iraq, they still hang people. Which is probably an improvement over the types of death sentences that used to be given.

who's "they"? in singapore, they still give people forty lashes for theft and vandalism
in America, they strap folks to a table and have a doctor of all people inject them with lethal doses of sedative
i don't know where "they" still use the electric chair
there are many Muslim countries where "they" still stone women to death (it's like going to a soccer match) based on accusations of impropriety only; no proof is ever needed or even sought; if she is lucky, her brother will strangle her the night before the big event
human beings are still very backward and cruel; it's a shame Mr. Hussein will be the only one going to the gallows, but it's always the little guy to pay the price, and on the world stage, Mr. Hussein is a very sad and very little guy
i think it's a mistake to execute him; far better to put him to hard labour for the rest of his days and to let him know that his family have been stripped of their wealth

Yes they still do. I'm not sure now, but it was an option that was available in a couple of states here not that long ago. They stone people, be-head people, in China they shoot you in the back of the head if your body has the right match for organ donation and there's a buyer.

Only in one state do they allow the electric chair any more. Most convicts in the US die by lethal injection.

There are a wide range of execution options, even in the US, and certainly world-wide. Electrocution, gas, hanging, garroting, firing squad, beheading - all used, and equally deadly.
