okay. So emo usually refers to EMOtional music and EMOtional people. The real emo's are the people who are very close to their emotional side. The fake emo's are the people who wear tons of black makeup, dress extremely punk, and hate the world. At least in my school, i don't know what it is like in other places.

EMO stands for emotional. They sing, dress, and act pretty dark. I also don't know much about EMO. That's pretty much all I know about it. Maybe someone else will give you some more info about it.

People who don't fit on with anybody but other emos who are emotional sometimes suicidal. They are some what Gothic or punk looking wearing dark clothes.

when i was in high school, which was ten years ago, emo was short for emocore which was a branch off of hardcore. emocore originally was a branch off the straight edge punk scene.
