There are very few people who I would like to see hang. I am not sure about Sadaam and whether I would watch it because I don't know if he is genuinely evil enough to merit this. However, if George W Mass-murderer were to hang on national TV, I would watch it, record it and play the video every time I was down in the dumps. I would savour each and every inch of the drop and that I would regard as a victory for justice.

NO!!!!
First of all, I don't believe showing a hanging on tv would deter those against the United States and could actually give the impression our country is going backwards.
Two, personally I think that would make me physically sick to see.
Thirdly, I think that would be a violation of the few rights Saddam has left.
Fourth, I would not like to make televised hangings a prescient.

Yes, through morbid curiosity. Having said that I don't know if it actually came down to it that I would see it the whole way through! There had to have been an outcome like this. The majority of the Iraqi people are not going to want to see Saddam live out the rest of his life with relative 'ease' in a jail when he commited such awful atrocities, and at their expense too.

Yes, I'd watch it because it would be completely different to the usual cr*p on all the rest of the time. It wouldn't make any difference in anyone else's life, so why should they care? I'll bet that there's a lot of people who've answered "NO" to this question who would actually sneak a look if they thought they could get away with it!

Watch It?
I'd invite all my friends around for a party and let off fireworks to mark the occasion. Has there ever been a more evil man since time started?

No, and I don't really see what would be gained by screening it. Most Arabic countries do have public executions, but I don't think England or America should. Also there is a voyeuristic attitude to death being televised which I would find demeaning. Footage could be watched for 'kicks'. The justice system is not entertainment. I'm anti- capital punishment anyway.

A lot of people have answered this as if you were asking about the morality of hanging him, whether he deserves it or not, etc.
I shall attempt to answer the question you actually asked ... yes, I probably would watch it, despite feeling rather annoyed with myself for saying so. I think for two reasons - first, because whatever one might feel about watching a public execution, we are human beings and therefore our rather morbid curiosity will take over. In other words, I would find it very hard *not* to watch it. The second reason is that, if I'm perfectly honest, I would kick myself if in future years I was asked about it and had to admit that I hadn't watched it.
Whether or not I think that they *should* show the execution, which I don't believe they will, is surely a different question.

first of all, if that were to happen, then we'd all are basically barbarians. watching somebody being hung is probably one of the most disturbing things to think about let alone actually witnessing it. it's better off to go and pick up the newspaper the next day and read the headline.
Saddam Hussein Hung.

I think it will probably be in Iraq, no? If I was around and bored I might watch it. Who was the member in Saddams cabinet who disagreed with him, and he made Saddam nervous anyways, so he jailed him (and wasn't allowed contact with his wife or family), and so his wife a couple of weeks later began to plead to Saddam every couple of days, in person, to deliver her husband to their house, with the promise they would no longer be involved in politics, even if it meant they had to leave the country, and after about a month of this, she found her husbands body, dismembered in a black bag, on their front steps...??? I used to know the name but forgot. What a nice guy huh? Didn't he kill (have killed) one of his brother-in-laws too? (because he didn't trust him?) His poor daughters though-they're sorta alright looking too huh? Hopefully they didn't inherit their old mans brains

You're derned right I would! But it's too bad he's going to hang instead of having his dome lobbed via a sword like they do in other muslim countries!
War the GOP keeping both houses of congress!
Make the world a better place,
Punch Saddam in the face!
