When the pregnancy is about 4-5 months along, the doctors should be able to see the gender using an ultrasound. It's not 100% and it's possible that the baby could be stubborn and not let anyone see what he/she is.

Yep. When you go for your 20 week ultrasound, you can ask the sonographer and if the baby is lying in the right position, you can get your answer.
But, other than that, the only way to be sure of your baby's gender is to give birth.
Don't buy into those stories that claim you can tell by the amount of morning sickness/shape of a bump/putting a ring on a piece of string and holding it over your bump seeing which way it spins- you cannot tell unless you are holding your baby in your arms.

After being 19 weeks pregnant, you can have an ultrasound one to see the gender of your baby.
Old wives tales are untrue, so don't listen to them. One of the tales stated that if you have cravings for salty food, then you're having a boy and if you're craving for sweets, you're having a girl. What if you don't have any cravings at all? We wanted a boy so bad, that I made myself believe I had cravings for salty food. Unfortunately, I had no cravings and had a sweet tooth during the last couple months of pregnancy. As a result, I had a boy.

unless there are any complications and they have to do an ultrasound earlier, they will do one at 20 weeks and you should be able to find out.
