I consider Mr. M. Muralitharan of Sri Lanka as the best bowler due to following reasons:
1) Though S.K. Warne of Australia is the leading wicket taker
in Test Matches, he has taken 685 wickets in 140 Test
Matches, whereas Mr. Muralitharan, who isthe second
highest wicket taker in Test Cricket, has taken 657 Wickets
in Test Matches from 108 Matches only. Further he got
better economy rate of 2.39 as compared to the economy
rate of 2.64 of Warne.
2) Mr. Muralitharan is the highest wicket Taker from the present
lot of Bowlers, as he has taken 425 wickets in 282 matches,
next to the 502 wickets taken by Mr. Wasim Akram of
Pakistan from 356 matches.
