I have been, and I complied. They didn't find anything of course. While I don't like the idea, the people at the airport have all the power. Bucking their power-trip will get you into all kinds of trouble, because they are acting legally, however despicably.

If I wanted or needed to enter the airport or government office, then it would be off with the clothes. For the most part the problem is not with employees doing their job (those conducting the strip searches). The problem is the criminal activity causing such measures to be taken to protect the bulk of the law-abiding citizens. I am not above enduring a little humiliation to help ensure the safety of the majority of people.

I was strip searched at an airport in the Middle East once. Just let them do their thing and it is over before you know it.
For most of the searchers, I don't think they like it any more than you do.

Try to be cooperative, patient and good-humored. They are not doing it for fun, you know.
Sometimes I travel with my beloved, rugged, heavy-duty backpack that has been to the Himalayas and to Iceland. It always draws attention from airport security because as intact as it is, it's doesn't look exactly new. Being searched a having my luggage taken apart has become something like a routine for me.

Well I have two choices. Do it or not enter. If I was forced they better get ready for the lawyer card.

I would tell them that I'm homosexual and demand to be searched by several hot, blonde female officers.
