Hm,
I think it depends of the level of the feeling.
Everyone has moments in life where they consider (well, most people) it, but then there are others who have given greater thought to it.
If that's the case, then it becomes a problem.
You'de first have to ask yourself what level of thought you've given it, and why.
I think that's how I dealt with it. If you feel it's a problem, then look for the cause.
Maybe it's something you can solve by youself, and maybe it's something you need to talk to someone about.
You have to deal with the root of the problem, and that's usually not an easy thing.
I would suggest speaking to someone about it if it's a persistent problem, because going it on your own is much harder than having people to lean on. Don't keep it all to yourself, if possible,
I think it does take a certain mind-set to solve this kind of thing on one's own.
So, why do you feel like this?
Do you think it's serious?

Yes,many times in my life. The best way to deal with suicidal thoughts is to think of your family and what it would do to them.Speak to your doctor, and family.Never bottle up your emotions,it is the worst thing you could do.Do not suffer in silence.Get a piece of paper and write down everything you like about yourself, and your life. What your strengths are, talents.Only positive things.Put it on your wall, and look at it when you feel down.It sounds silly but it works.Write what you are good at,even if it is simple things.

I think at some point we all have been there. The thing that worked for me was the thought of those I would leave behind, especially my son and daughter. Just the thought of what they would go through or how it would effect them in the long run, never again (to my knowledge) ever seeing their sweet faces brought me back to my senses. But what topped if off is the possiblilty of them somehow blaming themselves. I realized that it would be very selfish on my part.

I've felt like that many times before but I just talked to someone about how I was feeling and I just thought about how it would affect me and my family and friends.

Yes but i got on my knees and prayed for god to come in and turn things around in my life to taqke the thought of killing myself away. Got up washed my face and went to church and talk to someone.
You can do all things through Christ that Loves you!!!!!!
