If you are the Systems Exec you should already have the information to unlock the Internet for the workstations. It's next to impossible to give you the step by step instructions on how to share out the Internet connection without a lot more information.
How is the Internet accessed? Dial up/Broadband/Satellite? What kind of router system? or is it a Hub? Whats the operating Systems? How are the individual workstations connected? Are they all interconnected via an intranet or do they all go back into a central server? Too many questions have to be answered to give you any kind of a real scenario. A good place to start would be to go into the control panel on an XP machine and click on the Network setup Icon and look at the examples there.
