I've been friends with this Croatian guy for about 5 years. When I first met him, he was rather timid and cowardly, as am I, but upon meeting me he quickly became confident, a little too confident in himself. Early last year, he became obsessed with ancient Chinese and Japanese culture, and rapidly descended into a samurai like personality, considering himself to be above everyone else. He saw me as unworthy, he bossed me around and several times, he accused me of being selfish and dishonorable. He manipulated me into swearing an oath of brotherhood with him, and I feared him greatly, considering that he beats everyone I know in fights (sparring). This year, I reunited him with a girl he hadn't seen for 12 years, he tried to hook up with her, but failed, then he entered his descent into darkness. He forced me to relay terrorising messages to her, I refused, dishonouring the oath. Now he wants my blood. He sends me threatening text messages, and he says if I don't unblock him on MSN...

(Let me continue...)

...he'll come over. This guy isn't afraid of me, and he knows where I live. His friends say he wants me to "rest in pieces". Does this guy have it in for me, or are his threats meaningless? (BTW what do you guys think of me for betraying an oath?)

By the way, to give you an insight into his personality, he talks like this: HAHAHAHAHAHA, you pathetic, dishonorable rube. You know nothing of the true way of virtue, and never will...

There are all kinds of people. You never know what they are going to do. Save the text mess. and take them to the police. You don't have to press charges but you can have a restraining order put against him. To hell with the oath between you & some nut. You did right, by not allowing him to use you to bring other people into this insanity. If your statement is accurate you are not paranoid. Get the restraining order. If a situation ever arises you have already reported him. In turn the police will be able to better assess any situation that may arise. If this continues, you can go to the prosacuting attorney and press charges for terroristic threatning.

You made an oath under false and threatening circumstances, I don't believe you should feel guilty for not doing something thats morally wrong.
Go to the police and inform them of whats going on.
Get some legal advice.
Protect yourself! I think the guy is a little too aggressive to be mentally healthy!
BTW... what were you thinking reuniting him with that poor girl! Wow, if a guy has anger issues... keep the girls away from him!

Oh my gosh, please turn him into the authorities and get away from him as soon as possible! Document all you can so you will have plenty of proof this guy is threatening you. You should also seek a restraining order on him and get as far away from him as possible! I wouldn't call him a friend, I would call him the worst of the enemies. I wish you the best of luck.

He is crazy. Turn his threats over to the authorities before he kills someone. Sounds like you need to end this "friendship" and get on with your life. His problems are psychiatric and you cannot win in this relationship. He is dangerous.

i think your ages play an important part in this story... cuz if you are young, you should probably talk to your parents and school authorities and find someone who can help you that is there with you.

if you are older, then call the cops!!! and say he is harassing you. that is weird, i tend to think that he is a bit insane.
