We have been in a relationship now for a couple of years..neither one of us has told our families that we are together...we just don't like them being involved in our business BUT anytime we go out with his friends he still only introduces me as 'a friend' and I never mention to my friends that we are really a couple either...at what point do we let everyone know we are together? We aren't even spending New Years together this year...we've only spent one together since we've been in a relationship..this time around he notified everyone about a New Years get together but not me because of course what would other people think? His response was either I deal with it or don't. Well as much as I love him and I know he loves me...I'm tempted to tell him now that I don't want to deal with it anymore and go our separate ways. What should I do ? Do I completely end it or try and figure out a way to make it work?!?

You would never find a way to make this work the way it exists. Why not be strong and do something difficult that will be in your best interests in the long run......why don't you move on. It is obvious that there is not a strong commitment to you on his part in this relationship. Most people would agree that you "deserve better" Regardless of what you might think there are people out there, who would appreciate a woman like you. You deserve much better than this. Are you strong enough to find it?

This isnt a summer affair for it to be kept secret. It gives me a feeling that may be you two are not that into each other after all. Maybe he's just that into you. And he asked you to DEAL WITH IT?? what is that supposed to mean?
I dont think this will work out. Now is the time to break away. It will happen anyways if it is in the cards.

That would be totally up to you, but I must say it's incredible how you two have been able to keep it a secret for two long years. A couple who has to hide their relationship, is limited on where they can go and what they can do. Making it to where you two cannot experience what other "normal" couples experience. How can you grow? If a man tells you either to deal with it or don't, I would have to wonder how much he cares for and respects your feelings.

I dont understand the necessity to keep it all such a big secret. Not wanting people up in your business really isnt a good excuse since people only know what you tell them. You can let them know of the relationship, but anything that goes on wihtin it has nothing to do with them.

Are you sure he isn't married?! Sounds like that to me. If he is not, then this is not the kind of person you should want to stay with. There should be no reason to "hide" you for that long. Get on with you life and enjoy it to the fullest. Your a real person and should be treated as such! Find someone who would be proud to have you on his arm! Good Luck!

ok i dont understand how u can b in a relationship for a couple years and nobody knows about it. and if what u say is true then i would break up wit him cuz ur relationship is nothing that should b hid. well first i would talk to him about tell everybody that ur in a relationship and if he doesnt want to tell anybody then i would break up wit him.

You two are not even dating. You guys are a convince for each other. You need to move on. When me and my husband were dating we could not be with out each other. We enjoy our company. I think it is time for you to move on.
