He apparently made enemies while ruling. Now they are paying back when he is fallen. I cannot say whether he deserve it. Obviously the court which sentenced him is acting at the behest of USA. And the ruling was timed to help Bush in elections.
I mean , if Saddam deserved this there are any number of rulers on earth who deserve much worse. I feel , Bush , Blair and a lot of Israelis could be hanged any number of times for atrocities committed against humanity. I also believe some one will one day reach them.

No. A puppet court set up by a puppet Government
under American influence ? What do you take us for?
Only Retard could come up with such an idea. Next
thing Retard would call a press conference and say
"Nothing to do with us, Saddam was convicted by a
legal Iragii court and we should abide and respect
their judgement."

The media released few real details of the case and only the highly salacious highlights, so it is difficult to say one way or the other.

I am not a big proponent of capital punishment, and I'm not an expert in Iraqi law, but provided their idea of the burden of proof was met and based upon his using weapons of mass destruction against his own citizens and tortured millions others I would hope it would serve as an example to other dictators who would slaughter citizens.

We were not present throughout the entire trial to hear and judge all the evidence. Based on testimony and evidence submitted, he was found guilty. To voice an opinion on the death penalty you must be Iraqi. It is their nation, their standards and their laws. I am certain there are Americans who will say death by hanging is cruel and unusual punishment. Well, that may be the case in this country, but if the law in Iraq says you hang, it is not our right to dispute their law.

He was found guilty on the facts of the case, not the opinions of the outside world. The murderous tyrant deserves what he gets.

Following the verdict he did show some campassion for his people by pleading against secular violence and retribution against troops there. He apparently was treated by his captors much better than he treated his victims.

He has got what he deserved. He robbed 148 people of their lives, and who knows how many more? Those people's families are still suffering. It's now Saddam's turn and I hope he sees the justice in the decision.
I'm glad they didn't allow him to choose his own mode of death as well, as I'm sure he didn't afford that choice to his victims.
Psychopaths and bullies make me sick.

No, Saddam deserves to be tortured like he tortured people and left to linger in a long painful death in a cold dungeon, surviving on limited bread and water. Alas, civilization has prevailed and one quick jerk on the rope will have to end him and may he burn in hell.

He's getting a break! He will not be tortured or maimed as he did to his own people. He will not have his eyes poked out, fingers chopped, legs cut off, or other mutilations. He will have the luxury of a clean, swift, hanging. He should thank his stars for the influence of President Bush and the United States of America.

Oh common. Anyone who has been alive since 1980, even people who dont follow politics, know this guy is evil to the core and this should have happened LONG ago and alot of people wouldnt have died at his hands.
