I love crayons...I studied visual arts and I often used the crayon resist method for painting (the wax of the crayons does not let the paint pass it so it creates some interesting things).
I also use crayons frequently for graffiti because it washes off much better than most other mediums.
When you're about ten they tell you no more crayons use pencil crayons or markers. When you get to be about fifteen they tell you know more pencil crayons use paint and pencils. There's defintely a connection between the institutionalization of art and the small number of adults that use crayons.

Yesterday. As an artist I like playing with crayons and coloring book just to stay in practice in my shading techniques and color mixing styles and this is inexpensive and fun.

last week. i was in my classroom and we were compiling a poetry book and the teacher brought in a bag og crayons to decorate the poems. i love looking at the names of the colours on the crayons. instead of just writing blue, green and red, they write baby blue, sky blue, cornflower blue, bottle green, sea green, grass green, blood red, crimson, sunset red.

Why just a few minutes ago! I'm an art student and my teacher had told us to use various mediums for a piece of mix-meida and it happened that crayns was one of the few i used, among watercolour, colour pencils and charcoal.

Last night at dinner. My son and I played hangman & tic-tac-toe on his placemat, then drew some pictures while waiting on our appetizers.
