yes, you can visit on almost any day at all. lots of buses from the train station in agra. it's a tourist attraction. of course it's more expensive to get in on a full moon night, but hey, you get to have bragging rights back home.. contact the local travel agencies, or hop onto a train if you have the guts (less huslte with an agency), but go 1st class, whatever. don't jam yourself in with the crowds in the economy section- please, trust me.

The Taj is open for nights i.e., the full moon night every month and two nights before and two night after. In case any of these fall on a friday night, night viewing of the Taj is not permitted. in your case, taj will be open from 1st - 4th Jan 07 for night viewing. Night viewing is allowed between 20.30 - 00.30 hrs. A maximum no. of 400 people in eight batches of 50 persons each, are only allowed to view the taj, on any one night. Each group shall be allowed to view the Taj Mahal for a duration of 30 minutes only.

Ticket are available at Archeological Survey of India office, 22 Mall Road, Agra. Ph. +91-562- 2227263 & can be bought 24 hrs in advance. Ticket Rates
Adult - Rs. 510/- (Indian)
Adult - Rs. 750/- (US $15) (Foreigner)
Child (5-15 years) Rs. 500/- (US $10)

YES you can visit Taj Mahal in full moon night
They do charge some extra on those days,but trust me what u will get to see will be worth it and most beautifull to veiw Taj

Yes it can be visited in full moon night but tickets cost dearly as compared to daytime when it is just 10 or 20 rupees at the most and there is also foreign tourist rush.

YES it is very well possible for u to visit Taj Mahal in full moon night ......they do charge extra on those days,but trust me wht u will get to see will be worth it , YOUR EYES WILL THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL GIFT

ummm, last I checked, they close the Taj for public viewing at around 7.00 pm. Strict restrictions in place thanks to terrorist threat to the monument.
So, my suggestion would be to call the Taj tourism and check. Beware that these decisions can be changed on the fly based on the threats.

no it is closed at the end of the day you can see it from across the river at a good vantage spot by the new 5 star hotel that is located there
