I actually found humor in that, it showed a cleverness seldom found in liberals. To answer your question, no they would not, but the democrats would support the witches and find some way to divert some tax money to support them.

Dont they hold their own version of witch trials already.
Declaring someone an enemy combatant and picking them up and detaining them for years at a time with no proof that they are a terrorist and the detainee having no contact with lawyers or being allowed to see why is being held, sounds like a witch trial to me...See watch...

they do hold witch trials, the definition of a witch hunt is An investigation carried out ostensibly to uncover subversive activities but actually used to harass and undermine those with differing views. Can you say muslims? With the war on terror, it feels like the conservatives eyes are on all muslims, not just terrorists. I'm not saying just muslims are terrorists, though, don't misread this please. I'm just using that as an example.

I think they would. I am not a person who religiously believes in gay rights, but I have nothing against them. If they can still give people hell about being gay then by all means they would still be having witch trails and burnings.

The evangelicals would, if they could quit fooling around with gay prostitutes. They want to force their religous beliefs down the throats of our children at school, so if they were fully in power they would start persecuting anyone that did not believe as they do. Come to think of it, isn't that what the muslim extremists doing? Hmmn.

yes they would. they are already trying to shut up every one or any one who speak out against the bush administration regime if you don't believe in their polices then your a threat to this country and your not patriotic .
