I would say no, everyone is different. I would bleed for around 8 days at that age, but then skip like 6 months! I've always been irregular, so the pill helped regulate my cycle (also helped with bad cramps and cysts that I had bursting-very painful).

Aunt Flo really comes with a gush at first! Mine were horrible, about 13 days with heavy cramping. I was miserable. It took 4-5 years for it to be at a normal flow. I think it's Mother Nature's way of introducing herself.
But if you get terribly worried, see a doc.

When I was younger, my period lasted between 7-10 days. Unless she's having excessive bleeding or pain, I wouldn't worry.

She's getting her period, they get there period at the age of 8-16, and the average age is 11, so most likely she's getting her period, nothing is wrong with you'e daughter, her body is just going through some changes

No, she will grow into her cycle. If she just started her period this year, that is.
If she has been menstruating for over a year, and you are concerned, see an ob/gyn.

no there isnt a problem....periods and people dont have set dates. My first period lasted a week and then 3 months later it was 4 days.....if she has just started she is still irregular anyway. so just B-R-E-A-T-H-E
