I think you'd need to build it with cinder blocks and a foundation. Otherwise, any of those wood sheds that they drop down on a concrete slab are sure to blow away.

Anything prebuilt and then afixed to the ground can get blown away by a storm. Houses do all the time and they're a bit more sturdy than a shed. One possibility is to build a curved fence partition along the shed-side which most likely will receive the wind. The curve will allow the wind to go around your shed. Amazing fact in Florida, and other hurricane-prone areas - round houses weather high winds better than square houses.

Here in Florida where we have huricanes constantly, we almost have to build our own sheds and anchor them properly. Tin and other light metals just wont stand up to that type of abuse. I've seen a few situations where people have brought in more dirt into the yard so that they can build the pile up like a bunker, shielding structures from the winds. If done properly, the majority of the wind will pass right over the structure without causing any damage to it. Larry Melbourne, Fla.

Use the same kind of anchor system they use for mobile homes on your shed. I think the plastic sheds would withstand the wind better if you can find one that meets your size requirements. If you can't and need to use wood brace it well by nailing stringers between the studs and rafters.

Try Lowes or Home Depot. Check with permits and/or code enforcement first to make sure it is permitted where you are. Also check with homeowners association if any in your neighborhood
