I agree completely, School is the best time of your life. I loved every minute of school. Back then the only thing to worry about was that you had an even layer of make-up on your face, your skirt was short enough and the lad you fancied didn't find out, clearly the worst thing in the world!!! The days used to be spent thinking up excuses to be let out of class early or forging notes to dismiss yourself from P.E.
Nobody who was "cool" ate lunch in the cafeteria but instead spent their lunch money on cigs which they later sold to other kids at an extortionate price.
Seems pathetic now but still better than worrying about the bills!!!

There is not a universally appilcable answer to that Q - it is subjective and depends on what experiences a person went on to have after school, on their experience, good or not in school and their ability to remember those days accurately and without wistful rose tinted spectacles.
Personally I think school can be a harsh place - today children are under enormous social pressure to conform - to look great, wear the latest marketed trainers etc as well as having to run a gauntlet of pressure from parents, teachers, exams, bullies, inertia, puberty, drugs, drink, boredom, depression etc..
There are 2 sides to school - the academic obviously but the social too and it is in this realm that much of the experience of a pupil can be difficult..
Personally I had an ok time at school but I enjoyed being able to do what I wanted and not to conform to such a rigid and as I say harsh regime.. I like working and think that it is good that old times never come back for if they did I would never experience anything new.. I like there being a new possibilities and different days instead.

They are good, when else in your life do you get to spend your day with loads of people your own age, get loads of play time and you get weeks and weeks of annual leave?
I obviously didnt realise this at the time, but now I do. I would love to back to infants school for the day just to remeber what it was like. Or maybe the second year of comp..............

Whats funny is when your at school and people say this your like oh god no I hate school etc.
As you grow older your thoughts changed, especially when you get together with your friends from school and all the old stories and tales come out.
I'd do it all again as well! The good things far outweighed the bad for me.

Life is what you make of it -- don't get stuck in the past looking at your school days. TODAY is the best day of your life -- go out and make it so.

It obviously depends on your experience. Personally I couldn't wait to leave and now I'm a teacher. there must be a message in there somewhere.
