I know that this will sound strange, however, look to see that the belt routing sticker under the hood attached to the radiator shroud is correct. I had a buick roadmaster once that had an incorrect belt routing diagram sticker installed over top of the correct one. This little fiasco made everyone put the belt on incorrectly. Check the manual to see if the belt is routed correctly. I also agree with other peoples answers, pulley alignment, belt tensioner, idler bearing, etc.

One of the components driven by the belt that is coming off is not in proper alignment. You need to have the vehicle checked to make sure that all of the components are running straight and that you don,t have any misaligned accessories. The most common things to look for are bad belt auto tensioners and idler pulleys that can become worn and cause the belt to run at a slight angle and come off or even a bad water pump but you would probably have some noise associated with that. Just take it to a good shop or dealership and explain your problem and they should be able to quickly locate the cause of your problem. Good luck.

If the bearing is going out in the water pump it will throw the belt out of alignment. You will hear a noise if it is. Check any other idlers, the belt usually runs across the non grooved side of any idler. Make sure your belt is good. You have one of the models where you need to take the bolt out of the bottom of the motor mount to replace the belt.

Most likely one of the pulleys, or accessories aren't lined up square with the others. Maybe even check that crank pulley. Sometimes the harmonic balancer will be bad, and cause the pulley to shift slightly. Hope these made sense. Good luck.

loafer pulley. The damn you right here is that. It starts wobbling and shacking on an analogous time as spinning then whoopee!! the belt fly's off. The shredding comes because of the fact the belt is ripped around something of the pulleys.

One of your pulleys may be out of adjustment or crooked. Check that first. Make sure that the pulleys are all intact too, no pieces missing.

One of the pulleys is bad, the water pump is bad, or the tensioner itself is going bad.
