christmas is just around the corner - or thats what consumerism is telling us. in reallity its about a month and a half away.
Any way, i need ideas on presents - so they r not last minute
I am so not in to just buying the normal gifts - or even worse giving vouches (plus there is no way i have enough money to do that).

PS I need to give to 2 parents, 2 teenage brothers, 2 grandparents. But if you have ideas for anyone else - i have lots of cousins that i could give to.
Please could you give me some ideas on nice gifts, ie things that the recipient will really appreciate. I dont mind if its quite cheep ( infact id prefer it) or i need to spend some time making it.

Any ideas please help, or maybe something youve given/recieved. Please, any answer is worth something. thanx

One of the best presents I ever received was a basket of things that I like. Just buy baskets at garage or rummage sales for about 25 cents each. For a guy it can be shave cream, a new razor, a current magazine, some candy or nuts, movie passes, car care items such as wax, wash, sponges or squigees. For women it can be nice pen, notepaper, dusting powder, hand lotion, movie passes, foot care products, chocolate, favorite coffees, ornament. The choices are endless. Mix it up with a variety of things. People really do love these baskets, and I never have too much money in them. I generally pick up nice baskets all year long, and give them whenever there is a need for a small present. If you wrap each item individually, then it takes them longer, and they actually see each item you gave them. Make the basket look Christmasey with ribbon or decorations. Another idea is to put shredded green and red paper in the bottom like an easter basket. It looks nice and takes up more room.
Fisherman are the easiest because you can get so many little fishing items at low cost, especially at Walmart. Learn to hunt for smaller items all year long.
Good luck.

First--avoid anguish and dissapointment--limit your gift giving to the core people you are expected to give to--primarily your family, maybe one or two close friends. Don't succumb to temptation and get presents for cousins, acquaintances, etc as it will bust your budget---these people are easier to buy for than your family, and you'll spend your limited money on them first and then be unhappy because you can't get your family what you want to get them.
Second--your family members should start making a list of things they may want and share it with the other family members. You also need to share what you have bought for someone with the others so you don't duplicate, I got binoculars from both of my older children, they had discussed the idea, but then neither followed through and told the other that's what they had bought. Didn't bother me, I took both pair on our family trip and we used them, but the kids were obviously not happy--and that is the point. The giver needs to feel satisfied as much as the receiver.
Parents are probably the hardest to buy for, discuss with your brothers for some ideas, maybe go together and pool your resources and get them something nice, either as a couple or a present for mom and one for dad.
Grandparents are usually easy to please, they already have everything they need, so how about taking them out for dinner and treating them? If you don't have enough money, your brothers might want to do this also.

For $100.00 you can stock up on some great gifts. This company has a temporary site and is having a promotion for the holidays and you might find some good things you can stock up on especially from their sports center link.

well, if you want something cheap, grandparents always love handmade/homemade stuff. You could sew them a pillow, or make ornaments for their tree or something.

parents...well you have to find something that is a hobby of theirs or something. my dad loves birds, so we always know what to get him for christmas. moms you can always get something for the kitchen. you could get some cheap solid colored potholders and write your moms name on it or decorate it or something.

brothers...i have 2 in college and i never know what to get them. you can always go with colone, or if they like a sport, you can get them like shinguards, recivers gloves, a football, whatever. Oh! my brother went through a phase where him and his friends were always playing poker a few years ago (age 17) poker is so much fun, and guys really love it.

plz answer my question now!
